The sconces are beautiful, solid/weighty and well constructed. And they should be, for the price. A few surprises - when the light is off, you don't see the beautiful yellow color. Without illumination, the sconces appear to be a putty color. When I opened the box, I thought I had received the wrong color. And they don't throw off much light. I will definitely have to invest in additional lighting for the room. But it's worth it. When the light is on, the colors are magnificent. The sconces are more like works of art for the room as opposed to practical lighting. I was also surprised by the tiny little LED bulb. My electrician told me they're expensive, but they also last a very long time. I'm happy with the purchase, in spite of the price, for a room of central focus in my home.
